The 2018 AHR Expo event in Chicago always brings surprises to all its attendees, such as new products, trends, and technologies.
This year was not different.
Nolan Chance, our General Manager for the Ohlakoma City and Tulsa offices, was awarded the SPX Marley Ed Seniza, an award created to recognize outstanding sales performance and a strong commitment to Marley.
The Ed Seniza award is given once a year to one individual chosen among more than 400 global sales representatives. To be considered for the award, the individual must meet or exceed sales goals, showing that he is technically and commercially strong.
However, winning the award requires more than being a consummate salesman. Ryan Miller, the Regional Sales Manager at SPX Cooling Technologies, explained that “the criteria for winning the Ed Seniza award is more subjective than objective.” The selection committee also considers the individual’s capabilities of working hard and diligently, and of building strong relationships through rapport, trust, respect, and added value. More than that, the committee considers the individual’s loyalty to Marley, and if he “bleeds Marley blue”.
Edwood C. Seniza was a successful business owner, a leader in the HVAC /Commercial Construction industry, and a passionate person. He had a passion for our industry, for products, for innovation and, above all, for people. His positive attitude placed him in a high position among his customers and within the Marley family.
Winning such an important award means that the individual is a customer-focused Marley expert who has moral and ethical posture, and a winning and upbeat attitude. It means that he adds value to customers, to its own team, to Marley, and to the industry itself.
Ryan, who nominated Nolan, pointed out his reasons for it.
“Nolan led the Midwest Machinery Oklahoma team to a great year, exceeding Marley goals in parts and FAP in an adverse scenario with an economy primarily driven by oil. He has an impressive command of his market and customers and is able to relate and build relationships with Millennials. Nolan successfully balances the competing responsibilities of managing staff, establishing and executing strategic direction, and fostering customer relationships – and while he works to establish additional lines to bolster their business, Marley remains their anchor line and he and his team represent it very well.”
Nolan, who has been working at Midwest Machinery for 7 years representing SPX Marley, couldn’t be more honored with the Ed Seniza Award. “It represents the hard work and dedication that I and Midwest Machinery have to the Marley product brand. It is an honor to be named the Ed Seniza Award recipient along with the greatest Marley sales people both past and present in our industry”.
Nolan, we are very proud of you!
